About Dotz Energy
Dotz Energy helps hotels and large commercial buildings reduce energy consumption, operating costs and carbon emissions. Our solutions combine high-efficiency heat pumps, smart controls and sensors, and AI-led optimisation of chillers and other major energy systems. Our commercial model is designed to minimise upfront investment for customers and align our success with the verified savings we deliver.
Dotz Energy is part of Dotz Nano Limited, a publicly listed company on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX: DTZ). As we develop our hotel energy-efficiency platform across Cyprus and Greece, we are looking for an experienced engineer who can connect technical understanding with customer engagement and disciplined project delivery.
The role
This is a hands-on, client-facing role combining technical sales, site assessment, project coordination and implementation oversight. The successful candidate will work directly with hotel owners, general managers, chief engineers, consultants and contractors to evaluate energy-saving opportunities and support projects from initial discussion through commissioning and ongoing optimisation.
The role will act as the essential technical link between the customer, Dotz Energy's commercial team, external engineering partners, technology suppliers and local installers. Detailed design work may be undertaken by specialist engineering firms, but this position will remain responsible for coordinating the parties involved and ensuring that delivery meets agreed commitments, timelines and quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Support the identification, evaluation and development of energy-efficiency projects for hotels and hospitality groups in Cyprus and Greece.
- Act as Dotz Energy's technical point of contact with hotel owners, general managers, chief engineers, consultants and contractors.
- Participate in customer meetings and technical presentations, helping translate operational challenges into practical solution opportunities.
- Plan and coordinate site surveys, collect technical and energy-consumption data, and assess existing HVAC, hot-water and control systems.
- Support opportunity qualification by evaluating technical feasibility, implementation complexity, savings potential and project risks.
- Contribute to technical and commercial proposals, including project scope, assumptions, implementation requirements and savings methodology.
- Coordinate and develop a reliable network of external engineering consultants, equipment suppliers, MEP contractors, installers and maintenance partners.
- Oversee local project execution, including schedules, documentation, contractor coordination, quality control and commissioning support.
- Liaise with Dotz Energy's international engineering teams and technology partners to ensure local requirements are understood and delivered.
- Monitor project performance after installation and support ongoing optimisation, issue resolution and customer relationship management.
Candidate profile
We are looking for a practical, commercially minded engineer who is equally comfortable in a hotel plant room, a project-coordination meeting and a presentation to senior management. The ideal candidate can understand technical detail, challenge assumptions, manage external parties and communicate complex issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required experience & qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
- Ideally 8–12 years of relevant experience in MEP, HVAC, energy systems, facilities engineering, technical sales or project management.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and building systems, including heat pumps, boilers, chillers, domestic hot-water systems, pumps, heat exchangers, heat recovery and controls or BMS.
- Experience with hotels, resorts, hospitals, large commercial buildings or industrial facilities would be highly advantageous.
- Practical site experience involving installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, contractor management or project delivery.
- Strong project-management, organisation and coordination skills, with close attention to timelines, quality and follow-up.
- Comfort participating in customer meetings, supporting commercial discussions and presenting technical solutions clearly.
- Excellent written and spoken Greek and English.
- ETEK registration or eligibility would be considered an advantage.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel regularly within Cyprus and Greece when required.
Preferred background
Relevant backgrounds may include MEP or HVAC contracting; mechanical consulting engineering; hotel technical or engineering departments; energy services or ESCO companies; heat-pump, boiler, chiller or controls suppliers; facilities management; and hospitality or commercial-property development teams.
Key personal attributes
- Hands-on, practical, solutions-oriented and commercially aware.
- Structured and dependable in coordinating multiple external parties.
- Strong problem-solving ability, sound technical judgement and confidence in customer-facing situations.
- Able to work independently while collaborating closely with commercial and engineering teams.
- Organised, detail-oriented and committed to high-quality execution.
- Professional, credible and comfortable working with senior stakeholders in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
What we offer
- A central role in developing and delivering hotel energy-efficiency projects across Cyprus and Greece.
- A rare combination of technical, commercial and project-management responsibility.
- Exposure to innovative energy technologies, international partners and senior hospitality stakeholders.
- Meaningful responsibility from an early stage and long-term growth potential as the platform expands regionally.
